The Short Answer

Choose Nurture if

  • You are paying for contacts who never open
  • You want your own platform, your own login and your name on everything
  • You mail weekly or less and want a lower bill at the same list size
  • Your mail must go out from your own domain, hosted in the EU

Choose ConvertKit if

  • You mail your whole list very often and want unlimited broadcasts
  • You want to sell digital products from inside the same tool
  • You would rather self-serve today than talk to anyone first

We would rather lose a sale here than win one you regret. If their free plan fits, use it.

What You Pay At Each List Size

You Are Not Buying The Same Thing

The price gap is the small part. What the money buys is the big part.

01

A platform, not a seat

ConvertKit gives you an account on a platform shared with everyone else. Nurture gives you your own private copy of the software, your own login and your own database. Another business on a shared system can never affect your sending, because you are not sharing with them.

02

You only pay for contacts you can email

With Nurture, unsubscribed and cleaned contacts do not count toward your band. You stop paying for people who already said no, which is where most bills quietly grow.

03

Your name on everything

No trace of anyone else's software anywhere, logged in or out. Your platform name, your colours, your login screen, even the error pages carry your brand. It is your platform, not ours wearing your logo.

Questions, Answered

Is Nurture cheaper than ConvertKit?

At every list size where both publish a price, Nurture costs less than ConvertKit's cheapest paid plan. At 1,000 contacts it is $17 against $33 a month, and at 10,000 it is $79 against $116.

What is the catch with the ConvertKit free plan?

It is a real free plan, not a trap, and for someone starting a newsletter it is a good place to start. The limit is what it does not include: ConvertKit lists visual automations and email sequences as Creator plan features, so the free plan is for broadcasting rather than automated journeys. When you outgrow that, you are choosing between their paid plans and ours, and that is the comparison this page is about.

What do I actually get that a shared platform cannot give me?

Your own private copy of the software, your own login and your own database, with your name on everything down to the error pages. Another business on a shared platform can never affect your sending, because you are not sharing with them. You also only pay for contacts you can actually email, since unsubscribed and cleaned contacts do not count toward your band.

Can I move my list over without losing anything?

Yes, and slowly on purpose. Your old provider stays live and paid until at least four real campaigns have been proven on ours, with both running side by side for two weeks. Nothing is deleted, and everyone who ever unsubscribed is imported first, before any other contact, so nobody can be emailed by mistake.

Are these ConvertKit prices current?

They were taken from kit.com/pricing on 1 September 2026, at the yearly billing setting their page shows by default, and they are their Creator and Pro plans. ConvertKit changes pricing from time to time, so check their page before you decide. Both sets of prices are in US dollars, so they compare directly. Ours exclude VAT.

Your own platform, your own domain, your own list.
