What Marketing For An Institution Means

Digital marketing for educational institutions is the targeted promotion of specific programmes of study to people already deciding where to enrol. In practice that means campaigns on Meta, Google and LinkedIn, ad creative built per programme, geographic audience targeting, budget management and application measurement. Growth Of Influence has done this since 2024 for universities, public vocational colleges and international schools.

  • Meta Ads campaigns setup, optimisation and reporting on Facebook and Instagram
  • Ad creative dozens of assets, tailored to each programme of study
  • Audience targeting by geographic market, age and academic intent
  • Budget management allocation by programme, by audience and by phase
  • Technical support Meta Business Manager, Pixel and access permissions
  • Results reporting impressions, clicks, cost per result and recorded prospects

What We Do For Institutions

In every engagement we take on whatever it takes to fill the programmes: paid campaigns, creative material, targeting strategy, results analysis and continuous technical support.

We have taken on digital visibility, ad creative production, campaign management and hands-on guidance of institutional teams under real conditions.

Our aim is not to replace what already works. It is to strengthen the places where our specialism delivers real value.

The Institutions We Work With

Every type of institution has a different admission cycle and a different audience. The campaign structure changes accordingly.

Universities

Postgraduate and English-taught programmes

Promotion of specific programmes to prospective students, with separate creative and a separate budget for each programme.

Vocational Colleges

Public colleges and training centres

Campaigns that lift enrolment applications inside the admission windows, using tight local geographic targeting.

International Schools

Private and international schools

Attracting families, putting Meta accounts back in order, and training the in-house team to run the basics.

Global Recruitment

Students outside your country

Targeting across Europe, the Balkans and the Middle East, with a test budget per market and expansion only where it performs.

Five Academic Engagements

What our team took on

  • Ad creative production Dozens of Meta Ads creatives, tailored to each programme of study.
  • Meta campaign management Full setup, optimisation and reporting across Facebook and Instagram.
  • Budget management Budget allocation by programme, by audience and by phase.
  • Strategy calls Regular sessions with the institution team to coordinate and organise goals.
  • Data collection Tracking and recording prospective student data per programme.
  • Technical troubleshooting Ongoing support across Meta Business Manager, Pixel and access permissions.
  • Social media content Organic content running alongside the paid campaigns.

Phase B, running now, focuses on bottom of funnel measurement with phone calls as the primary conversion action. That sits far closer to a real lead than a click does.

02

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Law School

International LLB Programme

Relationship: Active engagement, 2025 to 2026 Scope: Strategy and international promotion of an English-taught LLB Size: 6 geographic targeting groups

Work with the AUTh Law School began with a single goal: international visibility for its new English-taught LLB. Through a structured exchange of just 40 emails with the programme leads, we designed and delivered a complete international promotion plan.

What our team took on

  • Market research Competitor analysis, audience mapping and evaluation of geographic markets for international students.
  • Location analysis and presentation Full geographic targeting analysis, presented to the programme team.
  • Campaign A First paid phase, awareness and reach across selected markets.
  • Campaign B Second phase, retargeting and bottom of funnel targeting.
  • UGC video Original UGC-style video for use in paid and organic campaigns.

Target markets

  • European markets of specific interest: Germany, Italy, France
  • Cyprus, with a traditionally high flow of students into Greece
  • Turkey, a large population with a strong pull toward European study
  • Western Balkans: Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia
  • Middle East: Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon
  • Secondary test markets, on small budgets, expanded only where results justify it

Every geographic group is supported by a three-campaign structure: Awareness and Reach, Expression of Interest, Application Completion.

03

SAEK Alfa is one of the more unusual engagements in our academic portfolio, because it is not promotion at all. We took on a teaching role with the college students themselves, running weekly digital marketing seminars across three months.

What our team took on

  • Weekly seminars Three months of continuous teaching for the college students.
  • Syllabus design Structure and content of the seminars, pitched to the students level.
  • Applied practice Tools, platforms and real case studies drawn from our own work.
05

International School of Stuttgart e.V.

Germany

Relationship: Active engagement, 2025 to 2026 Scope: Digital marketing consulting and Meta technical support

The International School of Stuttgart is one of the most significant international schools in Germany. The engagement started as an urgent technical need, resolving serious problems across their Meta accounts, and grew into a full consulting relationship.

What our team took on

  • Meta diagnosis and recovery Full analysis and resolution of Facebook and Instagram connection problems, duplicate accounts and settings conflicts.
  • Meta Business Manager troubleshooting Access restoration, permission cleanup and resolution of linking issues.
  • Meta account recovery Formal access recovery request filed in coordination with Meta support.
  • Team training Training sessions on Meta advertising fundamentals and good practice.

How An Engagement Starts

We strengthen, we do not replace. Our role is to reinforce the places where our specialism delivers real value, not to change what already works.

Project based, per campaign. No long-term commitment is needed to get started.

We start with a small pilot test. You judge performance before any larger budget commitment.

Questions, Answered

How much does digital marketing for an educational institution cost?

We work project based, per campaign, so cost depends on the number of programmes, the target markets and the duration. We almost always start with a small pilot test so you can see performance before committing a larger budget. Ad spend is paid directly to the platforms and is separate from our fee.

Do you work with public universities and vocational colleges?

Yes. We work with the School of Medicine and the Law School of Aristotle University, and with the public vocational colleges SAEK Kilkis and SAEK Alfa. We know how internal approval processes run inside public institutions and we fit our timelines around them.

How long before a campaign brings applications?

We have the first audience and cost per click data within 7 to 14 days. Applications, though, follow the institution admission cycle rather than ours. That is why we structure every campaign in three phases: Awareness and Reach, Expression of Interest, Application Completion.

Can you promote a programme to students in other countries?

Yes, we already do. For the English-taught LLB at the AUTh Law School we built targeting across 6 geographic groups: Germany, Italy and France, Cyprus, Turkey, the Western Balkans and the Middle East. Each market starts on a small test budget and expands only where results justify it.

Is a long-term contract required?

No. Our model is project based, per campaign, and no long commitment is needed to start. The engagements that run for years, like the Aristotle University postgraduate work, renew because they perform, not because anyone is locked in.

What if the institution already has a marketing team?

Better. Our role is not to replace what already works, but to strengthen the places where our specialism adds value, usually paid campaign management, ad creative and measurement. At the International School of Stuttgart we trained the in-house team so they could run the fundamentals themselves.

How do you measure whether an academic campaign worked?

By the conversion action that actually means something for that programme, not by likes. On the Aristotle University postgraduate work, phase two measures phone calls, which sit far closer to a real lead than a click. You get reporting per programme covering impressions, clicks, cost per result and recorded prospects.

Do you produce the ad creative as well?

Yes, it is part of the work. We produce dozens of creatives per engagement, tailored to each programme of study, alongside social media graphics and UGC-style video where it fits. You do not need to hand us finished material.
