TIL: vision, mind & emotions
What’s one thing that’s a big struggle to ambitious people?
Is it the lack of time to invest in what they want the most?
It might be the lack of quality time to focus on the few goals that really matter.
After having thousands of ambitious influencers joining my program and having in-depth conversations with over 300 of them this year, I’ve come to a new conclusion:
It wasn’t the quantity or quality of time.
It wasn’t even the lack of money.
More often than not, it’s the lack of vision.
A lack of purpose that motivates them to outwork themselves and not give up, even when their 10th post in a row doesn’t perform as expected.
Being a creator is not for the faint of heart.
You need to have the heart to start, and the grit to not give up.
So, how can you create a vision worth pursuing for yourself?
To get the right answers, you need to ask the right questions.
To ask the right questions, check out this document.
THINGS I’VE LEARNED
1.
Your mind, your gateway
Manifestation.
The over 100,000,000 copies sold of “Think And Grow Rich”
(which is considered a classic in the personal development world).
The most known book of Dr. Joe Dispenza “Becoming Supernatural”.
All 3 (Manifestation, Think And Grow Rich, and Becoming Supernatural) suggest that we are able to communicate our vision to an energy field greater than our current understanding.
We’re able to “become supernatural” by literally using our innate superpowers.
We’re able to “think and grow rich” by the power of our thoughts.
We’re able to manifest the future we desire.
By envisioning it / thinking it / manifesting it.
I find it interesting that these teachings are so different, yet they lead to the same conclusions.
2.
Emotion is energy in motion.
Literally.
By remaining calm under stressful circumstances, you keep your energy and you’re able to unleash it the moment you see fit.
By maintaining your temper you are able to set the motion of the energy towards the direction you believe.
The ability to regulate your emotions can be an important strength if used correctly.
GROW YOUR INFLUENCE
A trend we see more and more is that short, fast cuts lead to more engagement.
Social media platforms continue to promote short-form video content, and this won’t change anytime soon.
A good tip: aim for 1 cut every 2-3 seconds in your videos.
It might sound surprising, but this is what big movies, TV shows, and top influencers do. In fact, most videos that perform well on Explore pages use this strategy!
Here are 5 cuts that the influencers in our advanced program are using to perform better:
1) Zoom-ins and Zoom-outs. The easiest one but yet extremely effective.
2) Jump Cut: A sudden cut from one scene to another, often used to show the passage of time or to maintain energy in the video.
3) Cut on Action: A cut made when the subject is in motion. This creates a sense of continuity and makes the transition feel more natural, keeping the viewer engaged.
4) The addition of audio: Instead of adding a song from the first second of the video, consider adding it on the 3rd or 4th sentence of your video to refresh the tone and style and keep the user engaged.
5) Last but not least, B-Roll Cut: This cut overlays additional footage (B-roll) to visually support the speaker’s message. Coaches and consultants often use B-roll to demonstrate what they’re talking about.
